Springfield – United Way of Pioneer Valley will hold a Community Workshop on Saturday, Dec. 6 from 3 to 6 p.m. at the Tower Square Atrium (indoor entrance of White Lion brewing). This is a hands-on volunteer event designed for families to give back together.
At this community gathering, families will roll up their sleeves to pack and build care kits that will be distributed to local nonprofits supporting our neighbors in need. From assembling dollhouses and rocking horses to packing kits, every project you complete will touch a local life.
You’ll also be invited to visit the Giving Tree, where you can select a gift tag to help brighten the holidays for a local child in need. If you’d like to bring an item directly to the event instead of taking a tag, they will be accepting new with tags pajamas, coats or fuzzy socks (unwrapped please!) as these items are the most sought after in the community this holiday season.
This event is free to attend, with a suggested donation of $20 per family to help UWPV continue supporting the programs that strengthen our community all year long.
