WESTFIELD – East Longmeadow capped off an impressive opening week of boys lacrosse action, defeating Westfield 15-5 in the Whip City to finish the week 3-0. The Spartans opened the week with a thrilling 9-8 win at home against West Springfield and followed that up with a convincing 11-6 road win against South Hadley.
It was Westfield’s third straight loss to begin the season. The Bombers fell to Agawam in the season opener and lost to Amherst on March 31.
