UFC 320 Ankalaev vs. Pereira 2: Predictions and best bets

One of the UFC’s most stacked Pay-Per-View cards of 2025 has finally arrived. Two world championships are on the line and the undercard is packed full of matchups that are expected to produce fireworks.

Here, I provide in-depth UFC 320: Ankalaev vs. Pereira 2 predictions with a breakdown of the best bets to make leading into fight night.

UFC 320: Ankalaev vs. Pereira 2 predictions and analysis

The UFC’s third trip to the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas this year is shaping up to be a good one. This card features two title fights, one of which is a rematch between two of the scariest light-heavyweights on the planet.

Magomed Ankalaev managed to secure the light-heavyweight title from Alex Pereira via unanimous decision last March. It was a fairly uneventful bout, yet Magomed shocked the world by outstriking a man many considered to be the best kickboxer in MMA history.

Alex Pereira eventually informed the media that he entered that title fight with a lingering hand injury and an illness. He remains confident that Saturday’s rematch will play out considerably differently.

I don’t necessarily see that happening. Ankalaev was able to land the better shots on Pereira on the feet earlier this year. He is an extremely skilled grappler, as well, and is likely to focus on that aspect of his game more in this rematch.

Look for Magomed to briefly engage with Alex standing before shooting for takedowns throughout this five-round contest. Once on the ground, he will control Pereira and land short shots to earn yet another unanimous decision victory.

  • Official prediction: Magomed Ankalaev wins via unanimous decision

Ankalaev vs. Pereira 2 moneyline analysis

The odds below are provided by BetMGM Sportsbook

  • Magomed Ankalaev: -275
  • Alex Pereira: +210

In the first bout between Ankalaev and Pereira, the oddsmakers seemed genuinely torn as to who could come out on top. The odds for the rematch between these two men tell a different story.

Ankalev is currently entering this rematch as the -275 favorite. He has an MMA record of 20-1-1-1 and has been extremely dominant throughout the majority of his career in the UFC. Likely due to the result of the first bout with Pereira, he remains a significant favorite heading into fight night.

Alex Pereira comes into this bout as the +210 underdog. For a time, he was thought of as one of the most lethal light-heavyweights in MMA history. Unless he can pull the trigger more on the feet with Ankalaev, he may have a difficult time reclaiming his belt.

UFC 320: Undercard predictions and best bets

The entire UFC 320 card is jam-packed with exciting matchups. All eyes are on the main event, yet nearly every other fight on the card will have implications on their respective divisions, as well.

In the co-main event, Merab Dvalishvili looks to earn his third-straight title defense against the crafty veteran, Cory Sandhagen.

Expect to see a classic Merab performance in this bout. He will push the pace from the first minute and repeatedly drag Cory to the mat using his elite wrestling and cardio. Sandhagen has shown holes in his wrestling defense in the past, making this an incredibly difficult challenge to overcome.

Earlier on the PPV card, featherweights Josh Emmett and Youssef Zalal are set to compete. Zalal is one of the slickest fighters at 145 pounds and uses his movement and quick kickboxing skills to confuse opponents.

He will stick and move against Emmett using his incredible kicking arsenal to pick up a hard-fought unanimous decision win.

Light-heavyweight strikers Jiri Prochazka and Khalil Rountree Jr. are also set to fight in what many are already predicting to be the “Fight of the Night.”

This is an incredibly difficult fight to predict. In the end, I expect Jiri’s experience and power to make the difference. He will use his unorthodox striking to land hard shots on Khalil as the fight drags into the second and third rounds.

A TKO stoppage is certainly likely for Jiri, yet Khalil may have the skill and heart to survive until the final bell.
