Two Celtics legends, two starters attend Colorado vs. USC

Another Colorado home game, another celebrity-studded crowd at Folsom Field during the Deion Sanders coaching era.

Since Sanders became the Buffaloes coach this season, stars of sports and entertainment have been regulars at CU games. Among the recognizable faces in Boulder for the Buffaloes’ 48-41 loss to No. 8 Southern Cal were four Celtics – two past and two current.

Derrick White, the Celtics’ projected starting point guard and Colorado alum, brought current teammate Jaylen Brown along with him. Former Celtics legends Kevin Garnett and Paul Pierce were also in attendance.

Pierce posted an Instagram picture of himself with rappers Da Baby and Symba as well as former NFL receiver Desean Jackson and a video of Garnett visiting Sanders in his office. He tweeted a picture of himself with Brown and Garnett.

Brown posted a picture of White to his Instagram story with the caption “@Dwhite921 got me on the CU wave today.” He also reposted a picture from House of Highlights Instagram story showing Brown embracing Colorado two-way star Travis Hunter, who missed the game with an injury.

Fellow NBA players Aaron Gordon and DeAndre Jordan and ex-NFL receivers Terrell Owens and Michael Irvin were also at the game.
