SOUTH HADLEY — When Elena Bliss stood before the Massachusetts Legislature during Childhood Cancer Advocacy Day, she carried with her the weight of both personal tragedy and public mission.
Bliss, founder of Brittney’s Believers and mother to Brittney, who passed away from childhood cancer at age 5, described the moment on Sept. 10 as “emotional, but necessary.”
