SPRINGFIELD — A Wilbraham man was arrested Thursday after allegedly making threats against his hometown first responders, their families and children from here to Boston and Miami.
Funwayo “Jonathan” Nawayo, 36, who also goes by a series of aliases, waged a terror campaign on social media platforms after aligning himself with ISIS, according to records recently unsealed in U.S. District Court.
He faces a charge of interstate commission of threatening communications. He is being detained in Florida, a spokesperson for the U.S. Attorney’s Office said.
