WESTFIELD – The Westfield Technical Academy boys soccer team had one of the most exhaustive, thrilling and magical postseason rides of 2022.
Just a year removed from being shut out of the PVIAC tournament due to a perplexing mathematical formula that was best left for mad scientists to decipher, Westfield Tech marched through the regular season and the PVIAC tournament to capture the Class D championship with a grueling 1-0 win over Lenox. The Tigers edged the Millionaires on penalty kicks, 4-3, after 100 minutes of scoreless soccer.
