Three rushed to hospitals following two-car crash in Mass. city

Three people were rushed to hospitals Thursday evening following a serious two-car crash in Attleboro, the city’s fire department said.

Firefighters responded to the crash near 75 Read St. around 5:15 p.m. and found that two cars had collided, causing heavy damage to both vehicles, the Attleboro Fire Department said in a press release. Crews had to use the Jaws of Life to free a person who was trapped in one of the cars.

A man in his 20s was taken to Rhode Island Hospital in Providence with serious injuries, the fire department said. A 17-year-old girl and a 55-year-old woman were taken to Sturdy Hospital in Attleboro. The fire department did not say how badly they were injured in the crash.

Attleboro police are still investigating the cause of the crash, the fire department said. No further information has been released.
