In 2025, a New England casino donated more than $12.5 million to charity, helping provide free medical transportation for critically ill patients, helping grant life-changing wishes for children facing serious illnesses, improving playgrounds and more.
The Brook, located in Seabrook, New Hampshire, operates under New Hampshire’s unique charity casino model, which allocates a portion of all gaming revenue to local organizations through rotating five- to ten-day cycles.
“What sets The Brook apart is our unwavering commitment to the communities we serve,” CEO Andre Carrier said in a press release. “Every visitor who walks through our doors becomes part of something larger – a charitable mission that’s transforming lives throughout the region. We’re proving that businesses can be both profitable and purposeful, and we’re just getting started.”
In 2025, Kingston Children’s Center received about $80,000 for facility upgrades and staff development initiatives that enhanced educational quality without increasing costs for families. NH Hunger Solutions received more than $66,000. Angel Flight NE and Make-A-Wish New Hampshire also received money.
“The Brook’s support has been game-changing for us,” said Jemima Chapman, Program Director at Kingston Children’s Center. “The Brook’s partnership allows us to maintain a high-quality early education program with well-trained staff and excellent materials without raising prices astronomically for parents. For a program serving around 100 families, this support makes all the difference.”
The organization used the money to cover “essential expenses like new flooring, professional staff training, and playground improvements,” a press release stated.
The casino is about 40 miles north of Boston. It has more than 600 slot machines, 45 table games and a 10-table poker room.
The casino raised $11 million for more than 100 charities in 2024, according to CDC Gaming. And it has donated nearly $41 million since 2019.
The casino recently announced a 24,000-square-foot expansion and renovation to keep its tagline of being “America’s largest charity casino,” according to the New Hampshire Business Review.
Outdoor fire pits, a new restaurant and new parking lots are expected.
