The Nespresso VertuoPlus by De’Longhi offers a single-serve brewing system that makes coffee and espresso in four different cup sizes through the use of centrifugal technology.
The machine produces 5-ounce and 8-ounce coffee servings, as well as single and double espresso shots. The device uses Centrifusion technology, which spins capsules at up to 7,000 rotations per minute to blend ground coffee with water.
The VertuoPlus reads barcodes printed on Nespresso Vertuo pods to determine brewing specifications for each blend. The machine works exclusively with Nespresso Vertuo pods and uses two different capsule sizes: large pods for coffee and smaller ones for espresso.
The coffee maker features a 60-ounce water tank and can hold 10 used pods. It heats up in 15 seconds and includes an automatic shutoff function that activates after nine minutes of inactivity. The water tank is movable to accommodate different counter configurations, and the brew head opens and closes with a motorized mechanism.
