SPRINGFIELD — Uncle Sam — fresh from celebrating Independence Day in East Longmeadow and Springfield — is headed to a new home at Nathan Bill’s Bar & Restaurant at Island Pond Plaza.

The much beloved — and much traveled — 30-foot-tall fiberglass mascot is returning to the city where he first gained fame as “Mutual Ford Man.”
