These are the pies you must try in Massachusetts, according to Yelp

Pies sold at Drive-By Pies in Brookline are a must-try in Massachusetts, according to Yelp.

The food website published its list of “50 states, 50 pies you need to try” in March, shouting out the best pies, in all different forms, in every state.

“From savory pies like Beard & Belly’s huevos rancheros hand pie in Chicago, and the crawfish hand pie from Elsie’s Pie & Plate in Baton rouge, to traditional pies like the pecan pie from The Crunkleton in Charlotte, and Grace & Grit’s Key Lime pie in South Carolina, there’s something that allures the senses of all on this list,” Yelp wrote.

Drive-By Pies, which has a 4.8 out of 5-star rating on Yelp, makes pies all day, every day, according to the shop’s website.

The secret behind their success is possibly the shop’s “award- winning pie dough recipe that makes everything so special,” the website continued.

Drive-By Pies opened in April 2018 by Fran Kolenik, one of the owners of Bakerbaker in West Roxbury, according to Yelp.

The shop specializes in 9-inch pies in flavors including apple, lemon, strawberry rhubarb, pumpkin, peach, blueberry, chocolate cream, coconut cream, banana cream, lemon cream, Key Lime and pecan. The shop also makes 9-inch pot pies, meat pies, and buffalo chicken pie.

If you want to try one of Drive-By pies for yourself, then you can make an online order or visit the store at 248 Cypress St. in Brookline.
