‘There will be no leftovers’: Watch Mass. based ‘Thanksgiving’ horror movie trailer

Thanksgiving might be giving Halloween a run for its money as the scariest holiday this year, as Sony Pictures released the new trailer for the upcoming horror film “Thanksgiving.”

Set in Plymouth, Mass., the film takes place after a Black Friday riot ends in a tragedy. Now, a Thanksgiving-inspired killer terrorizes the town that bred the holiday we celebrate every November.

When police find a body at the department store where the riot happened, a group of teenagers are tagged in an Instagram post that shows a table set for Thanksgiving dinner. The name of account who tagged them is named “therealjohncarver” — who shares the same name as John Carver, the first governor of the Plymouth colony in 1620.

“Picking off residents one by one, what begins as random revenge killings are soon revealed to be part of a larger, sinister holiday plan. Will the town uncover the killer and survive the holidays… or become guests at his twisted holiday dinner table?” the trailer says.

To make the holiday even more gruesome, every weapon the killer uses to terrorize the town is straight from the Thanksgiving table, as noted in the trailer.

“There will be no leftovers,” the film teased.

Starring on the big screen include notable Hollywood celebrities “Grey’s Anatomy’s” Patrick Dempsey and social media influencer Addison Rae.

“Thanksgiving” can be viewed exclusively in theaters starting Nov. 17.
