Despite a rainy Monday forecast, The Big E will still be open.
West Springfield will see rain throughout the day, with patchy fog between 11 a.m. and noon, according to the National Weather Service. There will be a slight breeze in the afternoon, with a high near 67 degrees.
The area could get between three quarters and one inch of rain, the weather service said. The rain is expected to last until about 11 p.m. Clouds will clear out closer to the evening, with a low around 56 degrees.
The Big E is open rain or shine. The fair’s website suggests visiting one of its 40 buildings, including Avenue of the States and Storrowton Village.
For those looking for something fun to do inside Avenue of the States buildings, consider drinking around New England — a nod to the TikTok trend of “drinking around the world” at Epcot in Disney World.
People can also see animals in the Farm-A-Rama building. This includes seeing the Clydesdales, watching chicks hatch and seeing goats. A fake cow gives children the opportunity to try milking it.
