Scattered rain is headed to Massachusetts ahead of the holiday.
Tuesday is expected to have a dry start with rain in the late afternoon into the evening, according to the National Weather Service.
Rain could start as early as 5 p.m. but is more likely by 7 p.m. in Western and Central Massachusetts. It isn’t as likely to hit Boston or the Cape and Islands until closer to 8 p.m.
Rain could continue all day Wednesday into early Thursday.
Temperatures are expected to be higher than usual on Wednesday but a cold front is headed for Thanksgiving.
On Thanksgiving, National Weather Service forecasters expect it to be “blustery and turning colder” for the entire state. But the Berkshires will also be getting strong winds and snow.
It’ll then continue into the weekend with a windy and cold Friday into Saturday.
The Berkshires could get more snow Friday and Sunday. National Weather Service predicts the area to get several inches of snowfall.
