The season 3 finale of “Tell Me Lies” will premiere on Tuesday, February 17, and the show’s creator has confirmed it will be the series finale.

The writer, creator and showrunner of the Hulu original, Meaghan Oppenheimer, posted to her Instagram on Monday night, confirming that season 3 episode 8 will be the series finale.

“This was always the ending my writing team and I had in mind and we are insanely proud of it. Your incredible response to this season inspired us to explore whether there was another organic way to continue the story, but ultimately we felt it had reached its natural conclusion.”

Episode 8 will be available to stream on Tuesday, February 17, at 12 a.m. ET on Hulu. Those looking to stream the new episode can do so with a Hulu subscription starting at $11.99 a month or bundled with Disney+ for $12.99 a month.

Lucy Albright (Grace Van Patten) and Stephen DeMarco (Jackson White) return to our screens with their infuriatingly toxic but intoxicating relationship, along with their group of college friends who are also involved in and contribute to the drama.

Season three is based on Carola Lovering’s novel of the same name and sees Lucy and Stephen reunited for the spring semester at Baird College, promising that things will be different this time. The past constantly has a way of catching up with these characters and they are all forced to face up to their own behaviors. The show also bounces back and forth from the group’s days in college to the present day, which only leaves the audience with more questions.

Fans everywhere are questioning how this toxic show will be able to be wrapped up in just one more final episode. Oppenheimer and the cast told Decider the finale is more “shocking than any finale we’ve done before,” and all seem to be satisfied with it and are confident fans will be too.

Episode 8, titled “Are You Happy Now, That I’m on My Knees?” is as follows: “A scandal erupts at Baird College. When shocking truths come to light, consequences follow for everyone.”
