Teen flown to hospital after three-vehicle crash in Mass.

A 16-year-old Taunton boy was flown to a hospital Thursday afternoon following a three-car crash in the city, according to police.

Officers responded to the crash at the intersection of Cohannet and Silver Streets around 1 p.m., Taunton police said in a press release. At the scene, they found that the collision involved a “motorcycle/scooter,” a Toyota RAV4 and a Toyota Camry.

The 16-year-old was driving the “motorcycle/scooter” with a 15-year-old Taunton boy as his passenger at the time of the crash, police said. Emergency responders took the 15-year-old to Morton Hospital in Taunton.

The Camry driver — a 51-year-old Taunton woman — was also taken to Morton Hospital after the crash, police said. The RAV4 driver — an 81-year-old Taunton woman — was not taken to a hospital.

Taunton police and the Massachusetts State Police Accident Reconstruction Team are investigating the crash.
