Taylor Swift accused of bribing bride for wedding date — Rhode Island venue says it’s not true

Billionaire superstar Taylor Swift is accused of bribing a bride to secure her preferred wedding date.

According to New York Post’s Page 6, Swift and her fiancé, NFL star Travis Kelce, wish to marry at the Ocean House resort in Watch Hill, Rhode Island, which is close to the singer’s “Holiday House,” on Saturday, June 13, 2026.

When the couple reportedly found the date was already booked, Swift made an offer to the bride who held the contract for that date, Page 6 wrote.

However, when MassLive asked the beachfront resort if Swift paid off the bride for the venue on that date, Ocean House denied the allegation.

“Ocean House would not and is not allowing another party or entity to buy a wedding group out of a contracted wedding date,” Stephanie Leavitt, the sales and marketing director for Ocean House, told MassLive.

Ocean House’s website also continues to show plenty of availability around June 2026, with rates ranging from $900 to more than $5,000 per night.

Leavitt did not say whether they are in talks with Swift about any wedding-related business or whether a wedding is booked for June 13.

“Ocean House prides itself on being rooted in client confidentiality, integrity, loyalty and service,” Leavitt said. “When clients and their families choose Ocean House as their wedding venue, it is an agreement and commitment between our team and that family.”

She continued, “We appreciate the interest in our brides and grooms, yet allow them to confirm their wedding location with who they choose.”

Kelce and Swift announced their engagement on Instagram on Aug. 26.

The social media post features photos of Kelce getting down on one knee and proposing to Swift in a picturesque garden filled with flowers. There’s also a close-up photo of the huge engagement ring on Swift’s left hand.

Swift and Kelce have taken social media (and media in general) by storm since they got together in the summer of 2023.
