WORCESTER — It looked like the crown was slipping. But Taunton wasn’t ready to give up its dynasty just yet.
After falling into an early two-run hole and trading leads with a fearless Wachusett team for much of the night, Taunton came alive with a five-run burst in the sixth inning to power past the Mountaineers, 10-4, and secure its fifth straight Division I state championship Saturday night at Worcester State University.
