WORCESTER — If there were any boxes left that needed checking before Tanner Houck returns to the Red Sox rotation, he took care of those on Wednesday afternoon with another strong rehab outing at Polar Park.
Houck has shown no signs of rust in his two starts for the WooSox this homestand, tossing three scoreless innings last Friday and following that up with four shutout frames on Wednesday afternoon. Houck gave up just one hit, a single in the first inning, and struck out four.
