Study: Disadvantaged Mass. communities twice as likely to endure poor roads

AMHERST — Disadvantaged communities in Massachusetts are twice as likely to have poor roads, new research from the University of Massachusetts Amherst found.

Civil engineers at the university used publicly available data from the state Department of Transportation’s pavement condition report to look at the condition of roads across the state.
