Two Massachusetts students were shot Friday while in Mattapan, killing one of the students, the Stoughton Public School District announced Saturday.
Christian Cousins, who was a part of the 2025 graduating class, died Friday while with another Stoughton High School student, who was also shot but did not have life-threatening injuries, according to the school’s Facebook post. The second student’s name has not been released as of Saturday.
“It is never easy to deal with the loss of a student, especially under these circumstances,” the school said. “Our thoughts are with Christian’s family, friends, and teachers, as well as the whole Stoughton High community. We are also keeping the other SHS student and their family and friends in our thoughts.”
