The Miami Dolphins’ rough start to 2025 got even worse on Monday night.
Star receiver Tyreek Hill was carted off with a gruesome injury early in the third quarter of Miami’s game against the Jets.
He caught the ball at the right sideline going out of bounds and Jets defensive back Malachi Moore brought him down.
When he landed, his leg was turned in an unnatural direction, forcing many to look away. Several players took a knee while medical personnel attended to him before the cart took him off the field. He acknowledged the crowd as he left.
Hill had six catches for 67 yards on Monday before the injury. His 15 catches for 198 yards and one touchdown led Miami receivers coming into the game.
There was no immediate update on the severity of the injury, but it appeared to be serious. He was taken to a nearby hospital to tests and treatment.
The 31-year-old has one year remaining on his contract and a dead cap hit of over $28 million if the Dolphins release him.
