The Massachusetts sales tax holiday is Saturday and Sunday, but consumers have been out for days, if not weeks, eyeing goods.
“We have had a lot of people pre-shopping, selecting items they want to come in on Saturday and buy,” said Tom Perron, owner of Boyden & Perron, an outdoor power equipment dealer in Amherst. “I think it is a little bit slower than it has been in past years. I don’t know what to attribute that to.”
