SPRINGFIELD – The School Committee is considering steps to bring four schools no longer considered underperforming back into the fold of the public school district.
The four — Duggan Academy, Van Sickle Academy, all campuses of the High School of Commerce and Chestnut Accelerated Middle School (also called Chestnut Talented and Gifted) — are among the 16 schools now operated by the Springfield Empowerment Zone.
