
SPRINGFIELD — A man was killed after being struck by a train near the Armory Street Bridge on Monday night.
The pedestrian was hit at about 6:45 p.m. The victim, whose name was not released immediately, died at the scene of the collision, said Ryan Walsh, police spokesman.
The collision is being investigated by the Springfield Police Department’s Detective Bureau under the director of Capt. Trent Duda, Walsh said.
