SPRINGFIELD — One city councilor was feeling less than collegial on New Year’s Day when she chose not to attend an inauguration ceremony at Symphony Hall.
City Councilor Tracye Whitfield, often at odds with Mayor Domenic J. Sarno and some of her council colleagues, opted to be sworn in at City Hall earlier Monday morning before the mass swearing-in at the nearby venue.
