SOUTHWICK — During the Select Board’s meeting Monday, board member Russ Anderson raised issues with some parts of the Master Plan and questioned if its recommendations can compel the town’s departments, boards, and commissions to follow its recommendations.
“I guess that’s a problem I have with the whole thing in general. It’s way too detailed … way in the weeds,” Anderson said as board member Diane Gale asked her fellow board members if the agreed with the goals of the board fit with the recommendations of the Master Plan Southwick 2040.
Anderson’s comment came after he used an example of one of the plan’s recommendations regarding the town’s Local Emergency Planning Committee that didn’t fit into the responsibility of the committee.
