SOUTHWICK — After the Select Board and Planning Board approved the appointment of former Town Planner Marcus Phelps last week, for the first time since two Planning Board members abruptly resigned last January, it now has the five members its needs to conduct business.
“I’m grateful that you stepped forward to fill this role,” said Select Board member Diane Gale to Phelps, who served on the board between 2021 and 2023.
Planning Board Chair Jessica Thornton also thanked Phelps for volunteering to fill the seat left open when Richard Utzinger resigned just after former associate Planning Board member Diane Juzba and Jason T. Grunwald were elected to the board in May.
