SOUTHWICK – A Dollar General will be built on College Highway after the Planning Board on Tuesday reversed itself on its earlier to decision to deny a special permit to the Connecticut-based developer seeking to open the chain store in town.
The board’s decision to approve the special permit was the result of a mediated agreement between the town and Calito Development Group after the developer filed two lawsuits in September with one alleging board members Michael Doherty and Richard Utzinger were not impartial when voting against granting the permit.
