SOUTHWICK — To raise money for organizations throughout the community, the town’s Police Association and Fire Association are hosting a golf tournament on May 25 at the Edgewood Golf Course, and they need town residents’ help to make it a success.
“It will be a great day of golf for a great cause, and players from beginner to low handicappers should have a great time,” Police Chief Robert Landis said about the tournament and the best-ball format that allows everyone a chance to play.
All the money raised will be split equally between the two associations, he said. They will use the funds for student scholarships, to help families who need assistance, and local organizations that need funds for special projects.
