SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y. – Westfield State sprinted out to a first quarter lead but the Skidmore Thoroughbreds rallied late to pluck the Owls women’s lacrosse team, 11-10, in overtime in Saratoga Springs on Wednesday night.
Skidmore netted the final three goals of the game to snatch the win, scoring twice in the final three minutes of regulation to force overtime. In the extra period, the Thoroughbreds controlled the draw and held the ball for the first minute before Lily Hudner attacked the goal from the right win and buried a high shot for the game winner.
