SOUTHWICK – The Select Board unanimously approved requesting $155,000 from the town’s Community Preservation Committee to pay for an architectural firm to assess the deteriorating brick façade of Town Hall to learn how much it will cost to repair.
“You can see that it’s starting to fall apart,” said former Building and Grounds Director Russ Anderson during the board’s meeting Monday night.
Anderson has been working on the project since the retirement of former Chief Administrative Officer Karl Steinhart, who started it after pools of water were found inside the historic structure when its roof was replaced in 2023.
