It was a tale of two halves for the Westfield High School girls volleyball team.
Westfield started the season 9-4 but missed the state tournament by one win thanks in large part to a six-game losing streak to end the year. There were several highlights along the way as the Bombers participated in five five-set thrillers, winning two of them. They fell to Ludlow in the Western Mass playoffs and suffered a key loss to Amherst in the consolation round.
