Grammy Award-winning singer Seal became the animal with which he shares his name in a new Super Bowl commercial for Mountain Dew.
The R&B singer transformed into a singing seal (with a realistic face) in the commercial, which officially aired during Super Bowl LIX on Sunday, Feb. 9.
Seal appeared on Baja Beach to serenade singer Becky G with “Kiss from a Lime,” a Baja Blast-inspired rendition of Seal’s 1994 hit “Kiss from a Rose.”
The song was in promotion of Mountain Dew’s new Tropical Lime flavored Mountain Dew Baja Blast.
“Baby, I compare it to a kiss from a lime on the bay,” Seal sang before attempting to hold a bottle of Mountain Dew that fell from his flippers.
Seal then temporarily paused his singing as a shiver of sharks swam by. The singing sea creature then closed out the commercial in song.
“Dew remains my power, my pleasure, my flame,” he sang.
Becky G then responded with, “Well, this is the weirdest thing I’ve ever seen” before the advertisement ended.
