RUSSELL — The seventh annual Russell Police Association Family Fun Day at Strathmore Park on Saturday, Aug. 23, saw a record crowd of around 1,000, which was by far the biggest they’ve had, said Police Chief Kevin Hennessey.
Over 130 classic cars were parked in the field, with awards given out in six categories at the end of the event. The cars were joined by the LifeStar helicopter, which made several return trips during the day, to the delight of the children attending the free event, who also played in the bounce house, water slide and other games.
