BOSTON — Nick Sogard seems to be making up for lost time.
After finally being promoted from Worcester on Aug. 2, the infielder has been with the Red Sox for eight games and, counting Saturday against the Houston Astros, has been in the starting lineup for seven of them. For someone who was nearly 27 when he made his big league debut, he’s been getting his opportunities.
