A truck tow is scheduled to come get the tractor-trailer around 8 p.m., so drivers should expect delays on I-90 east around Charlton throughout the evening, MassDOT spokesperson Jacquelyn Goddard posted on social media.
Additional lane closures may be required Monday night to allow for a full cleanup of the crash, MassDOT said. The state transportation department advises drivers to follow its social media account for the latest updates on traffic conditions.
The tractor-trailer went through the guard rail and into the wood line off the highway shortly before 2 p.m. Monday, according to Massachusetts State Police. The driver was not injured in the crash and declined medical attention.
