Red Sox starting pitcher to miss next scheduled outing with arm fatigue

KANSAS CITY — When Nick Pivetta’s fastball was clocked at just 90-91 mph Sunday in Texas, the Red Sox took notice. When he didn’t feel strong in his between-start routine here the last few days, the Red Sox took action.

Pivetta, who was scheduled to make his next start on Saturday at home against Houston, will instead have his turn skipped. The Red Sox maintain that there’s no specific injury for Pivetta, and his arm remains structurally sound.
