MLB.com named him the Red Sox’s AFL sleeper prospect, writing, “Rosier stands out most with well-above-average speed that enables him to steal bases and cover ground in center field.”

Red Sox power-hitting catcher Nathan Hickey batted cleanup for Glendale and went 1-for-3 with an RBI single, two walks and two strikeouts. Hickey, who Baseball America ranks Boston’s No. 10 prospect, belted 19 homers with a .858 OPS in 98 games between High-A Greenville and Double-A Portland. He had 15 of those homers in 80 games for Portland. The 25-year-old was a fifth round pick in 2021 out of Florida.

Christopher Troye, a 2021 12th round draft pick out of UC Santa Barbara, threw 2 scoreless innings for Glendale. The 24-year-old hard-throwing righty allowed one hit and one walk while striking out two.

Troye finished 2023 with a 3.10 ERA, 87 strikeouts and 36 walks in 38 outings (49 ⅓ innings) for Greenville and Portland. Opponents batted just .169 against him. He struck out 39.5 percentage of the batters he faced.
