BALTIMORE — The Red Sox got another reinforcement back in their lineup Saturday and to make room for him, sent down a player who had been getting lots of playing time for them lately.
Boston activated outfielder Tyler O’Neill from the injured list and optioned infielder Nick Sogard back to Triple-A Worcester before a matchup against the Orioles at Camden Yards. O’Neill, who has been out for more than two weeks, largely due to a left leg infection, returns without having gone on a rehab assignment.
