NEW YORK — Shortly after his two walks in the seventh inning set the table for Aaron Judge to hand the Red Sox one of the worst losses of their season with a grand slam, righty Zack Kelly was sent down to Triple-A Worcester.
Kelly was optioned back to the minors after Boston’s 5-4 loss to New York, multiple sources confirmed. A reliever will join the team before Saturday’s game.
