
Red Sox prospect Blaze Jordan went 2-for-4 with a triple, three RBIs and one run to lead Triple-A Worcester to a 7-1 win over Buffalo on Friday.
Jordan is the hottest hitter in the Red Sox minor league system. The 22-year-old first baseman/third baseman is 23-for-66 (.348 batting average) with a .377 on-base percentage, .591 slugging percentage, .968 OPS, two homers, eight doubles, one triple, 12 RBIs, 14 runs, three walks and eight strikeouts since his promotion to Worcester on June 1.
He began the season at Double-A Portland where he batted .320 with a .415 on-base percentage, .513 slugging percentage, .928 OPS, six home runs, 11 doubles, 37 RBIs, 30 runs, 22 walks and 19 strikeouts in 44 games (176 plate appearances).
He also hasn’t made an error this year in 312 innings at first base and 176 ⅓ innings at third base.

~ Tyler Uberstine, a Red Sox 19th round pick in 2021 out of Northwestern, allowed just one run, six hits and three walks while striking out three to earn the win for Worcester. He has a 2.45 ERA in six outings (five starts) since his promotion to Worcester. He was up to 95 mph with his fastball.
~ James Tibbs III went 2-for-5 with a triple in Portland’s win over Akron. The 22-year-old outfielder is 5-for-16 (.313) with a .389 on-base percentage, one double, one triple, two RBIs, three runs, two walks and six strikeouts in four games since being traded from the Giants in the Rafael Devers blockbuster.
~ Mikey Romero, a 2022 first-round pick, went 2-for-4 with a homer and four RBIs in Portland’s win. Romero was activated from the 7-day IL (arm fatigue as SoxProspects reported) on Friday. He has a .254/.337/.479/.816 line with six homers, 10 doubles, two triples, 22 RBIs, 27 runs, 18 walks and 43 strikeouts in 37 games (164 plate appearances).
~ Eduardo Rivera allowed just one run, five hits and no walks while striking out eight in 6 ⅓ innings in High-A Greenville’s 3-2 win over Greensboro. The 22-year-old lefty is 3-1 with a 1.61 ERA, 0.83 WHIP, 68 strikeouts and 16 walks in 10 outings (six starts). Opponents have batted .138 against him in 44 ⅔ innings. He’s 6-foot-7 and has a fastball up to 97 mph.
