BOSTON — Red Sox prospect Ceddanne Rafaela is not in the lineup Tuesday against the Astros. He was promoted Monday and entered the game as a defensive replacement in the top of the eighth inning. He singled in his first big league plate appearance in the bottom of the eighth but then got doubled off first because of bad base running.
The Red Sox and Astros will play at 7:10 p.m. at Fenway Park. Boston ace Brayan Bello (10-7, 3.56 ERA) will start opposite J.P. France (9-5, 3.51 ERA) who the Red Sox scored 10 runs against in 2 ⅓ innings last Thursday in Houston. Reese McGuire will watch Bello.
