A red Audi A4 sedan ended up sandwiched between two parked cars in a grocery store parking lot in Wellesley after the driver reportedly mistook the gas pedal for the brake.
Wellesley police posted pictures of the crash on Monday morning that happened at Roche Bros. grocery store on Linden Street. Drone footage of the resulting crash shows the Audi with blinking lights wedged between two cars and a severely damaged BMW SUV with a smashed windshield.
One person was brought to the hospital for minor injuries, according to police and news reports.
Wellesley police said the driver accidentally stepped on the gas instead of the break, causing the Audi to shoot over a raised sidewalk in the parking lot. It slammed back down in between two cars and severely damaged the BMW, according to WCVB.
No one was inside the parked cars at the time, the outlet reported. The damaged vehicles were eventually moved by tow trucks.
