Shein is recalling one of its toys after discovering a child could choke and die from it.
The company is recalling about 260 units of its $3 three-tiered children’s tower toys that were sold on Shein’s website in May, the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) reported. The toys were sold on the Shein website by STWUQIKONG.
“The recalled toys contains small balls and is intended for children under three years of age, which violates the small ball ban, posing a deadly choking hazard,” the commission explained.
The toy has three levels and a basketball hoop with a character’s face at the top. The toy measures about 10 inches high and 4 inches wide and came with three yellow balls.
No incidents or injuries have been reported, however the CPSC said that customers should “immediately” take the toy away from children and contact STWUQIKONG for a full refund.
Customers will be asked to throw away the product and send a photo of the disposed toy to the email STWUQIKONG_RECALL@hotmail.com.
