Northampton’s mayor and police chief have said that a Northampton police officer — John Sellew — mishandled an April 4 traffic stop during which he took a 60-year-old Holyoke woman to the ground.
Yet an investigation report by Comprehensive Investigations and Consulting (CIC), obtained from the Northampton Police Department through a public records request and published below, found that Sellew and a fellow officer behaved appropriately and did not misuse force.
