SPRINGFIELD — Union transportation workers voted Saturday afternoon to strike Hampden County’s Pioneer Valley Transit Authority, through its bus operations contractor DGR Management, effective at 12:01 a.m. Sunday.
The workers, including drivers, mechanics, clerical workers, supervisors and forepersons, represented by Amalgamated Transportation Union Local 448 voted 192 in favor of striking to 7 votes against during daylong voting at the Union Hall at 640 Page Blvd. in Springfield.
