WESTFIELD — At the June 23 City Council meeting, City Engineer Allison McMordie and Eric Weiss of Bowman Consulting presented a roadway safety action plan for Westfield called Safe Streets for All.
McMordie said Westfield recently accepted a grant for $200,000 from the U.S. Department of Transportation, and introduced Weiss to the Council, who will be taking the lead on it. Weiss said he would be appearing in front of them twice, now in the early stages of the plan, and during its implementation which is aimed to reduce fatalities and serious injuries.
