A pregnant woman was attacked on Route 116 in Hadley Wednesday.
Around 4 p.m. on Wednesday, there were multiple 911 calls about the woman being attacked and at least two people stopped to help the woman.
By the time police officers arrived, they said the attacker had left the scene in a vehicle and was likely headed towards Greenfield.
At about 5:15 p.m., several Massachusetts State Troopers had found the vehicle at an address in Greenfield and were able to take a man into custody without incident and transported him back to Hadley where he was booked.
Alex Zabnicki, 31, of Greenfield was charged with assault and battery on a pregnant victim and threat to commit a crime.
